Visit Ariwa Beach at St. Ignatius Village, Region 9, on the bank of the Takutu River which forms part of the border between Guyana and Brazil, and get to know the wonderful, receptive, and hospitable Jonathan Joseph and his wife, Edione. Together, Jonathan and Edione have cordoned off a small section of the Takutu River Beach and created what they call the Ariwa Beach Resort.
To get to Ariwa Beach Resort in Region 9, you first have to travel to the town of Lethem. The Ariwa Beach Resort is located just five minutes’ drive from the Lethem Airport. First, go to the Lethem Airport. From there, drive towards St. Ignatius Village. Once you cross the bridge and enter St. Ignatius Village, drive straight for about five minutes. You will pass the well known St. Ignatius Benab on your right. Keep driving straight and you will reach the NAREI office almost at the end of the street.
