The Takutu River Bridge is a classic architectural marvel which crosses over the Takutu River at Guyana’s Southern border with Brazil.
The bridge pays homage to the difference in driving rules of the two countries. Brazilians drive on the right hand side but Guyanese drive on the left. Just follow the arrows when crossing the bridge and you will change lanes automatically.
The bridge was completed by the Brazilian Government in the year 2008.
