Golden Grove is located along the East Bank of Demerara, right after Diamond when traveling from Georgetown. The village is located about 30 minutes drive from the capital city of Georgetown, Guyana, South America. As you can see in the photo above, the traffic along Golden Grove Public road, at the time of this writing (Nov 2019) is very congested. That is because traffic from the double-lane road in Diamond converge into this single-lane road in Golden Grove. Crossing the road in Golden Grove can be one hell of a challenge because of ongoing traffic. However, there are currently plans to create a bypass road connecting the East Coast to the East Bank in order to ease the flow of traffic along this section of the road.
Golden Grove also has a has a cluster of business places such as clothing stores, hardware stores and supermarkets along the Golden Grove Public Road. Golden Grove is known for the “Time Square Shopping Mall” which has landmark significance in giving directions around the area.
