A disturbing video was posted on social media today, 21st of March, 2025, showing a school bully violently attacking a fellow student. The video was posted by the child’s father on his Facebook Page as he calls on the Minister of Education, Hon. Priya Manickchand, to investigate the matter fully and ensure justice is served. The incident apparently took place today, 21st of March, 2025 at the Golden Grove Secondary School on the East Coast of Demerara, Region 4, Guyana, South America.
It is not clear at this time what motivated or triggered the attack, however, the video shows a female student pouncing on and violently beating another female student. The video starts with the attacker throwing the victim to the ground and dealing blows about her head as she shielded with her hands and attempted to push the attacker off her. An older person is seen pulling the attacker off the victim in a half-hearted manner, after which the bully again pounces on the victim and continues the violent assault. The attacker is also seen stamping the abdominal area of the victim.
The child’s father said she received four stitches above her eye and that her attacker had a pair of scissors.
The video of the incident, posted below, went viral on social media and caused nationwide outrage as the general public called for justice to be served against the child’s attacker. Some even encouraged the parents of the child to “take matter into their own hands.”
The video, which shows a child being violently attacked by a gang of school bullies, was sourced from the Facebook Page of the victim’s father.
