A Guyanese resident of Mon Repos Village, Region 4, Guyana, South America has captured a very unusual and mysterious phenomenon with the sun as seen from above his home in Mon Repos, Guyana. Mr. Khemraj Khelawan related to this publication that he was fixing his antenna on the 1st of October, 2022, at around 12:00 noon when he noticed something unusual with the overhead sun. Khelawan said he saw what looked like a ball of fire coming out of the sun, making a half-circle around the sun and then giving off a flare.
The resident wasted no time pulling out his iPhone and capturing a few photos of the event, which you can see below.
This publication spoke to a scientist who said that the event described above is not an example of solar flare, that he doesn’t know what it is, but that it “looks interesting.”
