As of today, 7th of September, 2020, there has been a total of 248 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Rupununi Savannahs of Guyana in Region 9. Of these, 232 have recovered leaving 48 active cases. There has been four COVID-19 deaths in the Rupununi so far.

The above includes 5 new villages recording infections. The Regional Health Officer and the Lethem COVID-19 Medical Team is pleading with residents to continue to wash and sanitize your hands, wear a mask in the public, and limit your movements to other villages. Also cease movements across the borders.
