Car Was Trying to Overtake in Fatal Accident which Killed Groom and Injured Bride

Police have said that the car in which the young groom met his death was trying to overtake another car going in the same direction when the fatal accident occurred. The accident occurred around 15:30 hours on Tuesday, August 23rd, 2022, when motor car HC 7356 was proceeding east along the northern carriageway in Bath, West Coast Berbice, Guyana, South America.

16-Year-Old Girl Commits Suicide

A 16-year-old Guyanese girl has today, 15th of July, 2022, reportedly committed suicide at her home in the town of Mahdia, Region 8, Guyana, South America. Her first name was given as “Shana.” According to reports received, a relative of the teenager found her hanging by the neck in the upper flat of their home at around 6 p.m. today.

State of Emergency in Region 7 as River Overflows into Villages

The overflowing of the Cuyuni River yesterday drove flood waters up across several villages including Cumang and Korotokuh. Residents say the water has never been so high and worse yet, it’s still rising. One resident told this publication that their animals, including horses, cattle, and sheep, ran away into the forest last night as the flood waters rose. When they woke up, they could not find the animals.

Travelers must still be vaccinated. Guyana has followed suit.

According to a Live Report by the Guyanese Critic, the President and his team flew straight to the Police Club Sports Ground in Eve Leary, Georgetown and met with the mother of deceased children. Tracy Flur, 23, was apparently taken there by the police as investigations into the incident continue.
