Relatives say she was raped by a taxi driver who picked her up on the road on the morning of June 6th, 2022. The young girl, who was a student at J.C Chandisingh Secondary School, was waiting on the road for a taxi on Monday, 6th of June, 2022, when taxi driver, Ameer Ally, of Sandreef, Albion, picked her up.
According to the teen’s parents, instead of taking her to school, Ally drove towards New Amsterdam. When the girl asked the taxi driver where he was going, he made up an excuse that he was going to buy gasoline. The 29-year-old man drove with the girl all the way to New Amsterdam where he allegedly had sexual intercourse with her. Around midday, he returned to Albion and dropped the victim off at the head of Albion Estate road – a good walking distance away from her home.
The girl was so traumatized by the whole experience that she went straightway and consumed a poisonous substance. She was later rushed to the Port Mourant Public Hospital. There, on her deathbed, she related to her family what had transpired. A medical examination conducted on the 7th of June, 2022 proves that the teen was indeed sexually penetrated.
The teen passed away on the evening of Wednesday, June 15th, 2022. The accused was charged with rape and remanded to prison pending trial.
