Last updated: August 6, 2020 at 17:32 pmNewly elected President Irfaan Ali has yesterday, 5th of August, 2020, named 19 new Ministers for his cabinet in the government of Guyana, South America. This is in addition to a few that were named on the 2nd of August – the day of the swearing in of the President.
On the 2nd of August, Gail Texiera was named Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Governance while Anil Nandlall was named Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs. On that day, Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo was also sworn in as Vice President of Guyana while Mr. Mark Phillips was sworn in as the Prime Minister of Guyana.
Ali assumed presidency on the 2nd of the August, 2020 after the PPP/C was declared the winner of the March 2, 2020 elections in Guyana.

Hugh Todd– Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation

Robeson Benn–Minister of Home Affairs
Collin Croal–Minister of Housing and Water
Susan Rodregues–Minister within the Ministry of Housing and Water
Vindhya Persaud–Minister of Human Services and Social Security
