A Guyanese man has set out on a grueling 500 + miles journey from the capital city, Georgetown in Region 4, Guyana, South America to the border town of Lethem in Region 9 – on bicycle. Tyson English says he will be making the days-long journey through the lonely, and somewhat dangerous, trail to raise awareness of mental health and cancer.

The athletic cyclist set out this morning at 5:00 A.M and is already on his way to Lethem. He will likely take several days to get there, and will have to pitch camp several times along the way. We understand that he is traveling alone, without an escort or backup.

Tyson says he welcomes sponsors such as business people who would like to support his cause, and on this note, several persons have already given him financial and other forms of support.

You can cheer Tyson English along his journey and give him support by following him on Facebook.
