Good morning to you.

By now you are aware that 41 persons in Region 9 were confirmed as being infected with CoronaVirus.

This is now a very serious situation as these persons had obviously been in contact with family members and other persons.

The possibility of more infections is very high and we all need to take a moment and decide how we can stop the spread of this deadly disease.

Therefore everyone person in Lethem and the rest of the Rupununi Region MUST adhere to ALL advisories issued by the Public Health Officials.

These include:

1. Wearing masks in public.
2. Sanisation of hands.
3. No gatherings.
4. Stay home if you have no cause to be out in the public.
5. Limit the number of persons in shops, offices, postoffice, vehicles, etc.

Together we can stop the spread.
